Select Herd provides tools for you to track animal populations (herds) as they move through their life cycles and your facility.

With Select Herd, you can get an overview of the populations at any time, not only after the animals have left your site. You can look at trends that might be emerging and adjust them as they develop. This allows you to enhance factors that benefit your site and try to prevent or reduce harmful ones before they cause problems.

Select Herd, Select Sort, and Select Rations relationship

Although Select Herd can function as a standalone module, it was designed to work together with Select Sort and Select Rations.

If you have Select Sort, you can set up ration plans for each sorter and automatically obtain average weights. If you have Select Herd, you add additional features:

  • If you have Select Sort, you can automatically obtain average animal weights.
  • If you have Select Rations, you can integrate ration plans into Select Herd.

    Lists ration plan information for the selected herd. Information includes trigger type, current ration, and next ration. If available from either manual entry or automatically from Select Sort, the report displays average animal weight.
    This report is available only if Select Rations is installed.
