Warranty and Returns

Phason PRODUCT warranty replacement is done with kits that replace only the circuit board that is at fault. It is rare that a complete control needs to be returned and should only be done with approval from Phason.

Because the dealer is the first line of contact with the customer, the dealer is expected to troubleshoot and return the faulty PRODUCT. If the dealer is not set up for troubleshooting or needs assistance, Phason should be consulted.

Once troubleshooting is complete and the PRODUCT is deemed warrantable upon Phason inspection as per the limited warranty stated below, the dealer obtains a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number from Phason. Serial number of the PRODUCT and troubleshooting information are required to obtain an RMA. Return only the circuit board that was found to be at fault during troubleshooting.

If the customer requires an immediate replacement, the dealer will provide a replacement kit while the warranty evaluation is in process. Once evaluation is complete, the dealer will either receive a warranty replacement from Phason or, in the case of no warranty, the dealer will charge the customer for the replacement.

Once Phason receives the PRODUCT and determines it is covered under warranty, a replacement is issued and returned to the dealer.

If the PRODUCT is returned with no troubleshooting information and it passes all tests, it is subject to a testing fee and will be returned at dealer’s expense.

If the PRODUCT, upon inspection, is outside the terms of the limited warranty, no replacement will be issued. Instead, the dealer has the option to:

  • Purchase a replacement;
  • Pay for testing and have Phason discard the PRODUCT or return it at the dealer’s expense.

All other scenarios will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
