Timed Event Box

Model: TEB-6
Automatically control equipment according to time of day

The Timed Event Box is an easy-to-use control with six relays for switching equipment on or off at specific times. The large 20-character, 4-line display makes it easy to navigate and program the control, or to check the status of your relays with a quick glance.

Events and modes

There can be up to 75 events per day, per relay. Each relay can be programmed for one of four modes: normal, skip-a-day, always off, or always on. Manual override allows you to temporarily override these settings.

In normal mode the relays switch on/off at event times every day. In skip-a-day mode, the relays switch on/off at event times every second day.

Common applications for the Timed Event Box

The Timed Event Box is commonly used to operate feed augers, manure scrapers, grain bin dryers, lighting, fans, and heaters. The Timed Event Box is ideal for any application where you need to switch a piece of equipment on or off at specific times during the day.

General

How big is the control?

The enclosure is 9 x 7 x 3.75 inches (23 x 18 x 9.5 cm).

What can I control with this?

The TEB-6 is commonly used to control feed augers, manure scrapers, grain bin dryers, lights, fans, heaters, and anything else that needs to be switched on or off at a certain time.

Does it have a manual override?

Yes. The TEB-6 has a manual override mode that can be accessed through the control’s menu. For more information, see Manual override in the user manual.

Can I have relays programmed to skip-a-day on alternating days?

Yes. When you configure a relay to skip-a-day mode, the current day is the active day, and the next day will be the inactive day. To have relays offset, with one being active when the other is inactive, you will need to program the relays on separate days. For more information, see Modes and configure relay modes in the user manual.

Does this control have an alarm relay?

No. The TEB-6 does not have an alarm relay. If you need a control that has timed events and an alarm relay look at the Supra Touch.

Installation

What can I connect to the temperature or alarm terminals?

The TEMP1, TEMP2, SENSOR1, and ALARM terminals are not used in the TEB-6. Do not connect any equipment to these terminals.

Troubleshooting

Why is my relay not switching on when I want it to?

Verify that you are looking at the correct relay. Check if the relay will activate and deactivate by using the manual override menu.

The TEB-6 uses 24-hour time. Confirm that the time on the control is correct. Note that the daylight savings and standard time changes need to be entered manually. Confirm that you are entering the ‘ON’ event time correctly.
