Fixed-Stage Fan or Heater Controller
Model: FC-1T-1F
Fixed-Stage Fan or Heater Controller
Model: FC-1T-1F
Simple, low-cost fan or heater control
The FC-1T-1F automatically controls the temperature in a room by switching fans, lamps, or heaters on or off as the temperature drops below or exceeds the temperature set point.
How it works
When the FC-1T-1F is in cooling mode, it switches on the fans when the temperature exceeds the set point. When the control is in heating mode, it switches on the lamps or heaters when the temperature drops below the set point.
The FC-1T-1F is ideal for poultry, livestock, greenhouse, or light industrial buildings.
Manual Override Box
The Manual Override Box increases the load handling capability of your control's relays and provides an external disconnect.
Temperature Sensors
Additional temperature sensors allow you to use 4-zone temperature averaging. Probes are available several lengths and can be extended up to 500 feet using extension cable.
General
Does this replace the SSC-1D?
Yes, it is a direct replacement for the SSC-1D.
Can I control multiple heaters or fans with one control?
The limiting factor is the relay rating. Add up the current draw of the fans or heaters you want to control and then compare it to the relay rating. If the combined fans or heaters draw less than the relay rating then you can control them.
Can I control variable fans with this control?
No, it is for fixed-speed fans or heaters only. If you need variable control, the FC-1T-1VAC controls variable fans.
Can it be used as a backup thermostat?
Yes, it can operate a single-stage backup heater.
Can it be used as a backup for a minimum ventilation fan?
Yes, if it is a fixed-speed fan it can be wired to your minimum ventilation fan and set to switch on the fan if the temperature gets too high. This is useful if your main controller fails.
Does it have a manual override?
No.
How big is the control?
The enclosure is 4.75 x 7.80 x 3.75 in. (12 x 15.6 x 9.5 cm) The switch and knob add an additional 0.75 in. (1.9 cm) to the depth.
Installation
How do I change between heating and cooling modes?
Place the internal jumper in the correct position for the mode you want. See the user manual for more information.
How do I switch between displaying Celsius and Fahrenheit?
Place the internal jumper in the correct position for the unit of measure you want. See the user manual for more information.
Troubleshooting
How do I tell if my control is in heating or cooling mode?
Click the switch to the left. See the user manual for more information.
Why does my heater/fan not turn on when I expect it to?
Verify the temperature sensor is good. Verify the mode is correct. Verify the set point.
